Auspicious Becoming
Ceramic objects
The installation unfolds as a constellation of ceramic forms, developing a personal symbolic language shaped by transformation, emergence, and inner processes of becoming.
Form and Composition
The work consists of three ceramic objects in a relational arrangement. The first, featuring bat motifs, refers to a moment of emergence and transition, drawing from Chinese symbolism in which the bat signifies happiness, fortune, and auspicious beginnings. The central vessel, as a layered and chromatic core, carries traces of duration and transformation. The smallest object, resembling a vessel or urn, turns inward, subtly marked by the presence of Anubis.
Meaning and Context
Rather than presenting a linear narrative, the installation operates as a field of overlapping states, where phases of existence coexist and shift. The objects act as carriers of symbolic fragments bodily, mythological, and personal-forming an open structure in which meaning emerges through association, relation, and imagination.
