Our goal was to create life an abstract concept we grasped through a Golem-inspired being that serves as a vessel waiting to be filled with the essence of existence.
The Legitimacy of Existence
Just like the Golem, our being is merely a shell that we will fill with the concept of life during the exhibition opening. At this moment, the abstract becomes concrete: "life" emerges through an assigned identity. However, its legitimacy becomes a question—is it only real when validated by forms and institutions? Or does the essence of life lie rather in its sensory perception and the being's ability to evoke a response that forces us to react?
Rituals of the Everyday
Life consists of the mundane. The work on this piece became an organic process for us, as natural as a morning coffee with a cigarette. The essence of life was imprinted into it through small rituals, spontaneous decisions, and unexpected methods that we only recognized in retrospect. Throughout the week-long ritual of the symposium, our intention was to summon the life of this being, offering it everything in our power so it could be born, take on various forms, and function upon its arrival into our world.
