The Chatty Sketchbook
Illustration / artist’s book / participatory project
The Chatty Sketchbook is an open visual-textual tool that combines drawing, writing, and imagination, creating a space for introspection, creative exploration, and shared authorship.
Form and Approach
The project takes the form of an artist’s book composed of original illustrations, texts, and open-ended prompts. Conceived as an educational and participatory tool, it encourages active engagement through drawing, writing, and physical interaction. Emphasis is placed on process, playfulness, and intuitive creation rather than fixed outcomes.
Meaning and Context
The work explores themes of self-reflection, imagination, and care for one’s inner world. It operates as a platform for both individual and collective storytelling, where image and text intersect. The sketchbook can be understood as a framework for constructing personal mythologies while remaining open to multiple interpretations and modes of use.
